The Asia Pacific Region of the International Union Against TB & Lung Disease (The Union) extends you a very warm welcome to the 5th Conference of The Union Asia Pacific Region. The conference will be held in Sydney, Australia from the 31st August to the 2nd September, 2015. The venue for the conference is the Hilton Hotel situated in the centre of the city, relatively close to the impressive Sydney Harbour and the many attractions that Sydney has to offer.

The theme of the conference is to reduce the burden of TB and Lung Disease in our region, by increasing the number of regional partnerships and expanding our existing partnerships.

The Conference will showcase up-to-date information and feature many of our Region’s leading researchers and clinicians in the area of TB & Lung Disease. Plenary sessions, symposia, oral presentations, poster sessions, breakfast sessions and workshops will provide a wide range of forums for attendees to hear about new developments, present their work, to meet with colleagues and to explore new partnerships. The Conference program will inspire solutions for the pressing challenges for the future management of TB & respiratory disorders in the Asia Pacific Region.

Numerous pre- and post-conference tours will be available for delegates to explore a diverse range of exciting activities and venues in Australia.

The Conference Secretariat has confirmed rooms in selected hotels for the benefit of Conference participants. These rooms will be allocated to participants with no handling fee charged. The hotels have been selected for their proximity to the Conference venue, the Hilton Hotel. You are encouraged to secure your accommodation through the Conference Secretariat to ensure that you receive competitive rates.

Rates are quoted per room per night and inclusive of 10% Australian Goods and Services Tax. Bookings are subject to availability.

You can access the online submission form using the ‘Submit Abstract’ button above. A confirmation email indicating that a new account HAS BEEN SET UP will be instantly sent to the email address you have specified.

You will be required to submit your contact details and details of your abstract (Abstract Title, Authors, Theme, etc). At the end of this form you should upload your abstract as a Word Document only.

All accepted abstracts will be made available to Conference delegates. Authors are responsible for proof reading and submitting an abstract or poster without errors, as they will be reproduced in the format they were submitted.

The corresponding author is responsible for the abstract content. This author is the contact person for submission or communication purposes and is also responsible for disseminating information related to the co-authors.
